His Love

I have a pillow on my bed that reads “Life is Beautiful”. I bought it as a reminder to appreciate the life I have and also to consider even the most difficult parts beautiful. This morning as I made my bed after a fitful nights sleep I contemplated the saying and wondered aloud if I have indeed found life to be beautiful. I came to this conclusion.
I look around our yard and see all of the green. Spring and summer are my favorite times of the year. I love the gentle breeze, the tinkling of the wind chimes, the bird as they sing songs of renewal; the soft wrestling of the new leaves in the trees as a fresh wind blows… Continue reading Look Closer
Who He is: He is Faithful. He is a strong tower. He is the beginning and the end. He is the great I am. He is the living water. He is the bread of life. He is truth. He never lies, never changes. He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords.… Continue reading A Reminder

This is one of my favorite pictures – I say that about most of my pictures of Texas. It was taken while traveling down the backroads of west Texas during a tour of colleges for my oldest daughter. The trip consisted of just us girls (me, my oldest and youngest). We three traipsed across Texas… Continue reading A Beautiful Tour
Ink black sky, sliver of a moon shining bright. Lone star twinkling in the night there in the darkness, tethered to the slip of illumination coming from the crescent shaped moon. Smallness in shape yet hopeful, breaking through the suffocating blackness. A lifeline. A position to take hold of; focus on, steady ones course by.… Continue reading The Light in the Darkness
We are all somewhere in between something. A beginning and the end. New and old, Life and death. Some time ago I found myself in this place of somewhere in between. My heart and my life had went through a series of difficulties, a couple of heart wrenching losses of loved ones, some markedly painful… Continue reading Somewhere in Between
