Falling Words

Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. Proverbs 16:24 Words. Big Words. Small words. Buzz words. Branding words. Building words. All words, can fall. Fall like rain. Like bricks. Like Snow. Some fall up. Some fall down. Some can even drown. They fall on deaf ears. They fall on hearts… Continue reading Falling Words

Tactics of the Enemy

This morning as I was making my way out the door, arms full; in pursuit of my vehicle to load up and get started on my day. I was going over the activities of said day and was deep in thought about some things that had been happening recently. Things that came as a surprise… Continue reading Tactics of the Enemy

A Song to Heaven

Have you ever wondered what from earth reaches Heaven?  What God hears in Heaven?  Does he hear every sound made by us or just our prayers?  What makes him smile, laugh or shake his head and chuckle?   I was thinking about this the other day as I walked about outside enjoying the sunshine and fresh… Continue reading A Song to Heaven

Face of the Father

Over the long weekend my family decided to drive up and see other family in a nearby town. While there we grilled out, walked the shore of the lake and decided to drive a little further out and hike the gloss mountains. My husband and I grew up in the small town and surrounding countryside.… Continue reading Face of the Father

Forward Never Back

FORWARD. Arrows are released to fly forward toward the bullseye. Runners advance to the finish line forward. The battle of an army is won advancing forward toward the enemy. The waves of the sea change the shore by breaking forward onto the sand. We even spring forward from a long winter. Nothing is usually gained… Continue reading Forward Never Back

Anticipation

ANTICIPATE. Anticipation. To Anticipate. Looking forward to. A joyful longing for. Hopeful expectation. Waiting with baited…baded…bated (pick one) breath. These are just a few phrases used to describe the one word that to me implies a future moment of something good, profound or exciting. What one does not anticipate are delays, denials, being sidelined, talked… Continue reading Anticipation

A fresh wind

FRESH. Fresh is a word associated with many good things. Fresh fallen snow. The smell of fresh rain. Fresh baked bread. Fresh coffee. Clothes fresh from the dryer just to name a few. What happens when over time what once was fresh, new and exciting becomes stale and commonplace? Boring even. How do you make… Continue reading A fresh wind

Best laid plans

What do you do when seemingly everything planned does not go according to said plan? Do you lay on the floor with a pint of double chocolate and lament your most unfortunate circumstance? Or are you the square your shoulders and meet the new challenge head on kind of person? Perhaps you are a combo… Continue reading Best laid plans

A Beautiful Life

I have a pillow on my bed that reads “Life is Beautiful”. I bought it as a reminder to appreciate the life I have and also to consider even the most difficult parts beautiful. This morning as I made my bed after a fitful nights sleep I contemplated the saying and wondered aloud if I have indeed found life to be beautiful. I came to this conclusion.
